Tip #9. Let them Think

Providing an abundance of information can prove to be overwhelming to an audience. We can instead empower our audience to ask for any additional information in which they may be interested. Consider how overwhelming your audience can result in lower influence over your audience.

Results from Providing too much Info:

• Decrease Credibility. Implies you think we know everything… which makes us look like we don’t know what we’re doing
• Lose Trust. Gives the impression that  we’re trying too hard… which makes us look like we can’t be trusted
• Limit Influence. We disengage them… which makes us look like we don’t care about them

Give your audience bits of information that are easy to digest. They will appreciate it!
