Tension Tolerance refers to a leader’s ability to absorb tension.  The source of the tension may be  related to conflict amongst team members, project deadlines, or workflow processes.  In each of these situations, a leader has the choice to grow stronger from the conflict or grow weaker because of it.

Another way of measuring a leader’s strength is by understanding his/her tension tolerance.  In other words, how much tension is the leader able to endure?

Tolerance = Strength

Ability to endure is a leadership quality. This can be built. It requires self reflection, determination, and a serving others mentality. It should be normal for a leader to have these qualities.
