Are You In Compliance?
Revisions and more stringent adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act has recently been signed into law. Compliance must commence no later than March 15, 2011.
The new standards will encompass all U.S. hotels, banks, retail stores and shopping centers, restaurants and recreational facilities.
Property owners and facility management now have the task of assessing all locations to ensure appropriate standards are currently met. Retrofits to satisfy compliance must be scheduled and conducted prior to the spring deadline.
